Klaus K. Larsen holds a PhD in civil engineering and has worked for over two decades on the lifespan and safety of bridges and tunnels. For the past 10 years, he has led various technical departments at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Directorate of Public Roads. His work has consistently focused on technical regulations, quality in materials, solutions and processes, and the development of new efficient technical systems. Over the past year, he has led a project where genAI-technology has been tested on technical regulations. This work has resulted in the development of a chatbot for our road construction regulations and guidelines for public roads in Norway.
